PVC is a material that reacts well to a wide variety of wavelengths. Selection of a given wavelength is dependant on a number of factors and samples should be processed before final selection of a laser system.
PVC reacts favorably to CO2, infrared, green, and ultraviolet wavelengths. A CO2 laser creates an orange mark; an infrared laser creates a dark orange mark. A green laser system creates a gray mark and a ultraviolet laser system creates a dark gray mark. |
