Every laser system purchase comes with on-site, basic laser training during machine acceptance. Our software and laser machines are very robust and highly reconfigurable. System Operations Training Course Outline

Course Objectives

  • List the risks associated with working with laser equipment
  • Use the user’s manual, recognize system messages and trace the source of error messages
  • Independently and correctly start/stop the laser equipment and ancillary devices if applicable
  • Operate the laser equipment through operator console UI and ancillary devices if applicable
  • Select lasing job file with original parameters, and work through them with ancillary devices if applicable
  • Optimize the laser-processing recipe to improve the cycle time and processing quality
  • List regular maintenance requirements and the lifetime of key components

Requirements

  • General technical grounding and experience of CNC if equipment configuration applicable
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System
  • Basic understanding of CAD drawings and raster images if applicable

Training Program

HARDWARE OPERATION

  • Introduction to the laser equipment, components, and safety
  • Introduction to the operating manual
  • No assistance machine starting operation
  • Lasing processing job file importing and loading operations
  • Pre-processing running: focus finding, de-focus step, and workpiece positioning
  • Introduction to lens optics cleaning and regular maintenance plans

SOFTWARE OPERATION

  • Discussion of the importance of correct programming and laser processing technology
  • System setting panel operation: laser source, beam delivery, and other motion controls
  • Drawing, importing and converting of the drawing/artwork file
  • Editing and applying of the laser recipe in the lasing job file
  • Improvement of the cycle time and processing quality by optimizing laser recipe
  • Training test

Course materials (will be handed out):

  • Machine operating instructions
  • Notebook and pen

To be provided by participants:

  • Suitable Work clothes
  • Safety shoes with steep toe caps
  • DFX or Image files on storage medium if desired

Note When training service is included in Control Laser Corp. order, Control Laser Corp. shall provide its standard training course(s) including all course materials in accordance with its current schedule.
Enrollment of purchaser’s employees shall be in specific scheduled courses and shall be determined by space availability. Unless otherwise stated in the order, all training courses shall be conducted at the Control Laser corp. facilities or the Control Laser Corp. vendor’s facility as the case may be.
Control Laser Corp. will designate the specific equipment loaded at its facility, which will be utilized during the training course. The purchaser shall be responsible for all travel, lodging, and living expenses of its employees attending the Control Laser Corp. training course(s); and shall indemnify and save Control Laser Corp. harmless against all claims for physical damage to property and personal injuries, including death, which are caused by or resulting from acts or omissions of the purchaser’s employees while on the premise of Control Laser Corp.

  • List commonly used quality control test equipment
  • Find and apply the quality improvement recipe by analyzing the lasing mechanism
  • Find and apply cycle time improvement point by understanding the performance limits
  • List common laser equipment trouble shooting actions

Requirements

  • General technical grounding and experience of CNC if equipment configuration applicable
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System
  • Basic understanding of CAD drawings and raster images if applicable

Training Program

  • Introduction to the laser source, beam delivery design, wavelength absorption of the workpiece material
  • Introduction to the common equipment testing methods
  • Introduction to workpiece substrate material and common surface treatment
  • Introduction to laser power density and energy density influence processing quality
  • Introduction to cycle time composition and improvement paths
  • Geometric shapes drawing in LAS software, and 3rd party drawing files import
  • Creation of lasing job files ion LAS software and database connection or automation control
  • Trial run of the lasing job on metal or typical plastics
  • Trial run of the optimized automation synchronization if applicable

Course materials (will be handed out):

  • Advanced Application Trial course folder
  • Notebook and pen

To be provided by participants:

  • Find and apply cycle time improvement point by understanding the performance limits

Requirements

  • Finish the System Operations Training Course and Advanced Application Trial Training Course
  • Basic knowledge of software programming with advanced language
  • General technical grounding and experience of CNC if equipment configuration applicable
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System
  • Basic understanding of CAD drawings and raster images if applicable

Training Program

  • Introduction to the Laser Application Studio function modules and UI
  • System setup panel and the key hardware setting
  • LAS installment and database establishment if applicable
  • Complex parts drawing and programming problem solution
  • Manual import and examination of 2D files from other CAD systems
  • LAS system authorization management
  • Call of the preset recipe, user-defined parameters setting, or manual nesting
  • Lasing processing path optimization cycle time
  • Trial run of the lasing job file on certain appointed workpiece
  • LAS command line syntax and coding of a lasing job file applicable
